Louisville, KY, USA
About the Event
For nearly half a century, Samuel L. Clemens was in demand as a dinner guest on three continents. As his alter ego, Mark Twain, he was the darling of hostesses and royalty alike. His name on an invitation ensured a full house and a hundred stories that would be repeated for generations.
We invite you to join fellow patrons of the orchestra as the creator of Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Pudd'nhead Wilson, and dozens more classic American characters recounts his own history and the stories that first made him a household name.
No house could hold Mr. Twain and the audiences eager to meet him. So, we will gather to enjoy cocktails and a sumptuous buffet in the garden. It will be a soirée made memorable as America’s literary gift to the world lives on in laughter—yours!
